I did not receive the email for step 23. I kept re-doing step 20 repeatedly to see if that would help, but it did not. So I have yet to receive an email to continue as Riley.

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

Yeah I can see you’re in the wrong mode for plain text. you have to close that file, fix the preferences and open a new one for plain text. If it’s right, it won’t have that ruler across the top like in your screencap. To set the Textedit preferences is just like doing it for Safari or any other Max app. Click TexrEdit i’m the upper left corner of you screen to drop down the menu.

Well, you set the email for Riley, so you must’ve put in something that wasn’t a valid address or that you were not checking. Go to set up and then Users and then Users again and click Riley and edit her information and set her email address to something that works and that you can check the messages in.
