Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

I am having the same problem. I never received an email to Riley's password update.

Well, then chances are that the email address you set for her back in 3a was not a valid address or was different from the one you're checking now. Check her user profile and see what address you gave her. If that's a valid address check there. If not, you'll need to edit her user profile and change the email to one you can check. (When you change the email address, SF will send an email to that new address to confirm it works and you'll need to validate it by opening that email to verify the address. )
