If I choose "salesforce platform" for User License instead, then there is no other option for Profile except "standard platform user" and not "contract manager". How do I fix this problem?

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

I see it. You already created two users for. yourself with the "Salesforce" license. Each account only gets two. I don't know why you have two for yourself. You need to delete this one:
Truong, Vyvytruongvy.k.truong@sjsu.edu
and then you'll be able to create the Riley one according to the isntructions.
