Patrick, I am only able to access the older account where you last logged in on 10/29. I think you want me to help you get into the other account - the you having been using since then? Since you hadn't granted me access to that, I can't get in to help. But I think maybe there is a solution.

First try this - be sure you are going to "login.salesforce.com" when you try to log in as yourself again, after having been logged in as Riley. Sometimes, that URL changes when you log out and it can cause trouble logging back in.

If that doesn't help, then try logging in as Riley again and then you can reset the password for your own account, I think. Go to Setup > Users > Users and click on your own self and then, when you see the center panel has all the info for your accuont, click the Change Password near the top center and click "Ok" in the popup window that appears. That should send an email to you email address with a link you can click on to reset your password for your account.

Ok, so here's how that works.

First, abandon your old account. Get a brand new “fresh” Developer Edition Salesforce account by going to this link:

https://developer.salesforce.com/signup (do NOT go to the Salesforce homepage and get the 30-day free trial account)

You can use the same email address as before but you have to set a new username since the old one is still on the original account. It can be anything that LOOKS like an email address, even if it's not a valid address. For example, you could use hippo@suitcase.sauce (assuming it's not already been used).

Then you only have to do Steps 5-36 of Lab 1b. (Nothing from Lab 1a.) After Step 36 of Lab 1b, you can go straight to start Lab 2a and go from there.

But you need to email me at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com so I can give you a promo code so you don't have to pay again, ok?

I thought of one other possibility. Occasionally a glitch happens in someone's WiFi network that prevents the transmissions from maintaining the security protocol. I have seen a couple of students run into messages about being unauthorized and restarting their router and computer solved it so maybe try that too. Let me know, ok?
