I ran into some issues in lab 2a around step 84 when I couldn't find the little wrench logo beside "Related Fields".
My computer or site crashed, and now all my work from lab 2a is saved on multiple "pitch" objects, as in under Object Manager there are three different Pitch objects.
This screenshot shows that there were 3 Pitch projects created
On the first Pitch project (Step 84) there is a locked pitch ID/ pitch details that doesn't allow me to edit but in the "related fields" section there is a wrench logo shown.
In the 2nd Pitch project I am able to edit pitch details (step 84), but there is no wrench logo shown in the related fields box.
Is there a way to restart from Lab 2a or combine all pitch projects into one? Due to this error I am unable to move forward in my labs. Please help me as soon as possible because I am already behind in two labs. Thank you!!
Thank you for all your help! I will be sending you an email in the next few minutes. Also, would lab would I be redoing steps 5-36 from?
Yeah, sorry you're having trouble. Computers can be super-picky so you're going to want to take your time and follow each and every instruction, being careful to get each one correct so you don't run into problems like this that take way longer to fix in the end.
It looks like you didn't follow Steps 1-4 of Lab 1b where you were supposed to delete the Pitch object you made in Lab 1a. It's still there, apparently. Having more than one Pitch object causes confusion and problems, as you're seeing so that's why the steps tell you to delete the old one before you add the new one by installing Max's Pitch Package.
You also created the Meeting object but changed it's name to "Pitch" for some reason, it seems. And you created a Pitch object with the name "PItch--" for some reason but there's no fields in it.
Super important to read the parts BETWEEN the steps so you understand what you're doing and why. Then you actually learn something and you know what's going on so you don't make mistakes.
Anyway, the best way to get back on track now would be to just get a brand new account from Salesforce and abandon the old one. You would only need to redo Steps 5-36 in the new account and then you could start 2a fresh and clean. And you won't have to pay again if you email me at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com because I will reply with a promo code you can use.
