My validation rule seems to be the same as the one required but for some reason it will not give me the error message?

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.
Before you post make sure you check the Help FAQ for an instant solution first. Then, if you can't find it there, you can post your problem here and we'll get to it ASAP (within 24 hours), but be sure you:

When you entered the invalid data, did you then click on Save? The message only shows when you try to Save the record with the bad data in it.

Ok, I accessed your account and your validation rule works fine for me. And I didn't see that you had created any new records with an Equity Percentage over 100% so the rule succeeded in not allowing that to happen. My guess is you click Save to save the rule itself, but didn't click Save for the record with the illegal value in it. Anyway, I took the screencap for you and I'll email it to the Gmail address on your Salesforce account now, so you can just use that and you're all set.
Are you sure you're hitting Save? You won't see the error message until you click Save on the record with the excessive value.
If you're sure you've done everything right, do these 3 steps and I'll take a look in your account:
Log in and click on the character icon (upper right) and click My Settings
Click My Personal Information (upper left) and then Grant Account Login Access below that
On the row for The Max Labs Project Support, use the --No Access-- pull-down menu to select 1 month and click Save

Well I'm using Google and it works for me but there may be a specific security setting in your browser that might interfere with this. Anyway, glad it is working for you now!
Ok, I just logged into your account and tried it as if I was you and it worked fine. Here is the screencap:
See, it says your account at the top. I think maybe you just were not clicking Save or something?
If you're still stuck - you're not getting the verification message to show up when you put in a number over 100 and click Save? - then do those 3 steps above so I can access your account and let me know when you've done them. And also what your name is so I can look you up in the system, ok?

My formula in the screen cap is the same as the one in the instructions though right? Both say Maxz Equity Percentage > 100?
