Hello! I recently finished my 2a/2b lab, and I received a super low grade because I missed a step in a previous lab (1b steps 1-4). Unfortunately, the mistake seems super complicated to correct and I have no idea how to fix my mistake and go back and fix everything in return. I am super frustrated because I tried deleting the initial "pitch" but everything is connected to the one I'm trying to delete. I know I'm not supposed to delete my account but I have no idea how to correct and move on to get a better grade.

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

No worries, Molly. I can help you. I know exactly what happened. When you skipped those 4 steps, then you wound up with 2 Pitch objects and then you used the wrong one for all the rest of the steps. There’s really. is way to undo that but you can just abandon that account and get a brand new one and you don’t have to redo everything to get up to where you need to be to redo 2a and 2b properly now. I’ll give you instructions with shortcuts and a promo code so you don’t have to pay again. But first, if you could you help me with something it would be greatly appreciated. You see, I’m the author of the labs and I wrote them with those 4 instructions at the start to make sure students didn’t make that exact mistake you made. But for some reason I can’t imagine, lots of students decide to skip those steps and then wind up in the same mess. This semester I even added the word “Important” in front of the first one hoping that would help but still lots of students skipped them. So I’m asking you to help me understand so I can make whatever changes are needed to keep that from happening anymore. Can you think back to what when you were first starting 1b and try to remember what was going through you mind when you decided it would be ok to skip those steps and just start up with Step 5 instead of Step 1? Did someone tell you it was ok? Did you not see them somehow? Did you think they were just unimportant and you could save a minute of time by skipping them? I really need your help to understand and fix this, please. Any suggestions are most welcome! Thanks! Prof Tim
