Hello,
I ran into an issue in Lab 1b where only 2 out of 10 records processed. I quickly found a solution on the help forum telling me to make sure my time zone was in the United States. However, when I try to go to the Language and Time Zone tab on Salesforce, it tells me there is an "internal server error" and I cannot access the tab but I can call them for more info.
I don't know how to fix this bug if I can't change my time zone, and I am not sure if it is a site error or I am doing something wrong that is causing the Language and Time Zone tab to not open. I checked my internet connection and retried, and it is just blank with the error notice. I need help, I can't do what the packet says without the records.
Hello,
I did have my account set to the United States, which is my actual time zone. Before I imported the records it was set to the United States, I went through the steps in the lab to make sure so the Max's Pitch Package would install properly. I was actually able to get help on the Sales Force website and get the blank tabs to pull up, and yes my time zone had been changed. The help forum said that it will randomly change your time zone sometimes, I'm not sure why but I guess that is what happened between those steps.
However, now that I have all ten records downloaded (and I deleted the old imports beforehand) and made the edits to the comments, the grader won't stop telling me that I do not have all 10 records imported. It is weird because it recognizes that every step after importing the records is correct, which I don't think would be possible if the records were not on there. I have an 85% on it because of that, but was still able to complete all the steps in the lab and I understand what is happening. I logged out and pulled it back up and re-ran the grader, I have pictures of the records all on there with the edits made, and the grader still saying they are not.
I will delete and reinstall Max's Pitch Package so I don't have any issues moving forward in the Labs. If the problem continues in the next labs I will start over in a new account. The lab instructions I am using are provided by my school, so I would assume the version is up to date. I have reached out to my professors as well.
Thank you so much for the fast reply, I will reach out if re-installing the package does not help.
Hmm...I'm worried you're using an old version of the lab instructions. The newest version tells you to use United States when you're setting up your account for the first time in 1a. That's why we put that in there. Is that not in your version?
Also, Step 22 in Lab 1b should have prevented that problem even if you didn't follow that instruction in 1a about using United States when getting your account.
So I'm confused as to how this happened if you're using the latest version. Let me know ok? Also, what time zone are you actually in?
As to how to fix it, now that you have imported some records but not others, the IDs are all messed up for labs 2a and 2b. So really it's best at this point to either
1) Go to Setup > Apps > Packaging > Installed Packaged and uninstall Max's Pitch Package and then reinstall it - you can email me at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com to get a promo code so you don't have to pay again.
2) Abandon your current account and get a brand new one and just start Lab 1b from Step 5 and email me at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com to get a promo code so you don't have to pay again.
