Ok, so it wasn't anything to do with your Lab 1a. It's that when you got your account you selected Canada as your country instead of United States. Max tells you to select United States no matter where you are because then the format for your date fields will match what is in the import data. But you chose Canada anyway so now the import doesn't work.

This was supposed to be caught by Step 22 but there's a different issue, due to Salesforce. When you were getting your account, the server was probably slow so you clicked Submit more than once and got more than one account with the same username. Now you can't change your country setting anymore so you need to just abandon that account, like you were thinking of doing anyway, and get a brand new one, BUT this time, make certain that you use United States and also make 100% certain that you click Submit only one time, no matter how long it seems to take, ok?

You will make up a completely new username for this new account to make sure you and your browser don't confuse it with the old accounts. In SF, usernames can be anything that LOOKS like an email address, even if it's not a real one. For example, cherry@potato.celery would work, assuming nobody else has used it before.

In the new account, you won't have to redo any of Lab 1a. You can just start up with Step 5 of Lab 1b. But you will need to install the grader into the new account.
