I successfully completed all of the steps in Lab 1A and was able to download the grader. I followed all of the steps, got the latest version of the grader, ran it, and I keep getting this error and it shows my grade as 0 for the lab although I have completed it. Also I have not started lab 1B yet either.

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

Yeah, so when you were getting your SF account, you probably clicked the Submit button more than once and now you have multiple SF accounts, all with the same username. So you build your Pitch object in one account and then when you installed the grader it put you into another of your accounts which is empty - there's no Pitch object in that one.
So the simplest way to fix this is to go back to the link Max gives you and get a brand new SF account but this time set a totally new username (can be anything in the format of an email address: xxx@yyy.zzz) and also be certain you only click Submit once, like the instructions stress, so you can avoid this problem again. Then redo Lab 1a in the new account and when you install the grader this time, it will go into the same account and find your Pitch object and give you the proper grade. The always use that same account from now on.
It won't take you too long to repeat the 1a steps, especially now that you have done them once already.
If you are adamant that you don't repeat the work, then I can give you steps on how to find the account that contains your Pitch object and get the grader installed there and make sure you always use that account from now on. But it involves more complicated instructions and understanding. You will need to use the custom domain that SF assigns to each account. Even though the username is the same across your accounts, the custom domain is different. Let me know if you want to try that.
